About our Program

Welcome to Westwood Women’s Lacrosse, a thriving program with a rich history spanning over a decade. Operating in the great state of Texas, our lacrosse team operates as a “club sport” due to not being affiliated with the University Interscholastic League (UIL). It’s important to note that we are entirely self-funded and managed by our dedicated players and their supportive parents. Westwood High School and the Round Rock Independent School District (RRISD) do not provide financial assistance to our program. Despite our non-UIL status, we uphold UIL guidelines, especially when it comes to player eligibility. To be a part of WWLAX, players must be students at Westwood High School, in accordance with RRISD policy. Our competitive spirit takes us across the Georgetown-San Antonio corridor, where we engage in intense lacrosse matchups and culminate the season with an exciting two-day tournament in College Station. As a member of the Central Texas High School Lacrosse League, we face off against approximately 19 other schools in the region. Our annual schedule is divided into two phases: from September to early January, we focus on conditioning, refining stick skills, and engaging in 2-3 scrimmage matches. Then, from the end of January to late April, we embark on our official season, featuring a packed schedule of approximately 12-15 games. Join us in celebrating our passion for lacrosse and the camaraderie that defines Westwood Women’s Lacrosse.

Refund Policy

In the event of a cancelled season, refunds will be given based on a prorated amount, based on 7 months of practicing and games. Please note we incur fees from the start of the season all the way through the end.

In the event a student wishes to no longer pursue playing lacrosse and would like to withdraw from the team, there is a no refund policy.  Coaches’ salaries, uniform orders, and other supplies are all pre-ordered based on the number of players early in the fall so a large amount of funds are spent early in the year.
